Nike, Boeing share losses contribute to Dow's nearly 550-point fall

Shares of Nike and Boeing are retreating Tuesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. Shares of Nike NKE, -5.60% and Boeing BA, -5.07% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -2.19% was most recently trading 544 points (1.6%) lower. Nike’s shares have dropped $6.26 (4.9%) while those of Boeing are down $7.78, or 4.4%, combining for an approximately 93-point drag on the Dow. Visa V, -3.70%, 3M MMM, -2.96%, and Caterpillar CAT, -2.96% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.59-point swing.
