Dow's nearly 50-point fall led by losses in Nike, Procter & Gamble shares

Shares of Nike and Procter & Gamble are trading lower Tuesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.14% was most recently trading 46 points lower (-0.1%), as shares of Nike NKE, -2.82% and Procter & Gamble PG, -1.74% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Nike’s shares have fallen $4.05 (3.2%) while those of Procter & Gamble have fallen $3.12 (2.0%), combining for a roughly 47-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Visa V, -1.46%, Microsoft MSFT, -0.97%, and Merck MRK, -0.77%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.59-point swing.
